Broadband
We offer high quality broadband access for homes and businesses in ADSL-enabled areas all over the UK. We provide users with the choice of two account types which are tailored to suit different usage patterns. All accounts have
- Free static IP address
- Webspace and email
- 24/7 support line at national rate
- There are 2 contention ratios in use, Home (50:1) and Office/Premium (20:1). Contention ratio refers to the maximum number of users you could be sharing your bandwidth with. If you have a 50:1 contention ratio then in theory another 49 users could be competing for the 512kb you have. In practice this very rarely happens and even on the slowest ADSL product users typically see a 10x improvement over a 56k modem.
- MAX Allowance gives you the maximum speed possible on your line, currently to to 8Mb.*
The MAX Allowance service is a capped bandwidth service. However, the allowances are greater than those offered by most other Internet Service Providers (ISP). We also believe that most users would prefer to pay based on Peak vs. Off-peak usage rather than a single all day capacity.

Broadband Maximum Pay As You Go (PAYG) Great value for light/medium users whose usage fluctuates slightly, as extra data transfer is paid for in small chunks. Broadband Home and Office PAYG are versatile connections which will operate at the fastest your line allows up to BT's maximum (now 8Mb). It's a 'capped' service - monthly data transfer is 1GB, with an overuse fee of around £1 per extra GB downloaded PRICES FROM £14.99 per month |
Broadband Maximum Allowance Great value for medium-high usage. It works at the fastest your line allows up to BT's maximum (now 8Mb) and allocates very generous data transfer limits based on peaktime / offpeak periods. There are lots of accounts to choose from, starting from £16.50 for 3GB peak and a generous 30GB offpeak which is ideal for evening and weekend users.
