An email forwarding account is cheaper than an actual POP3 email account, why?
Email forwarding just redirects an email written to your domain name (i.e. xxxx@mycompanyname.com) to a true email box/account (i.e. mycompanyname@hotmail.com). With a POP3 email account, the email sent to your domain name (i.e. sales@mycompanyname.com) will go into your domain name's in-box. The key to this is when you reply! You always reply from the same email address as the inbox and so with POP3 sales@mycompanyname.com and not the mycompanyname@hotmail.com email.
