Secure backup of information

Information held on a computer or notebook is at risk from loss. This maybe due to failure of a computer component like a disk, accidental deletion by a user, fire and flood, a computer virus or hacker. If this does happen it can be costly for a business and for personal computers you may loose valuable items that can't be replaced like photographs.

Secure backup does not need to be expensive. It may consist of a spare disk on the desk that you copy files to every few days or a fully automated backup to storage held in another building.

Online shoppers demand security for their transactions and will not purchase anything from a shop that does not look trustworthy. They will look for the use of secure connections whenever they enter personal data - the address bar shows https:// rather than http:// and a closed padlock right corner.
